The Propagation of the Angiopteris evecta Ferns
The Trial and Error Experiment
All these living fossil species are from the Palaeozoic era the earliest evolutionary forms of basic plant life, which is around 550 to 245 million years ago.
The Angiopteris evecta are a seedless vascular plant species like its close relatives are the horsetails.
Where Angiopteris evecta only spore, which reproduce themselves by using their environment to help them to adapt for survival of their species when the time of the great extinction.
Some of these living fossil species survive the great extinction periods, which today are vulnerable or close to near extinction, which in some fossil living species are becoming an invasive pests in countries like Hawaii, Jamaica and Costa Rica. Knowing these living fossil species are prehistoric and uniquely rare, which have very little knowledge about them.
By preserving these living fossil species, where more research needs to be done to understand how they survived for millions of years.
Present day there are people who are dedicated to keep these living fossil species alive by preserving bio-diversity for generations to come.
